Privacy Statement

We, DG Select B.V., treat the privacy of all our candidates, temporary workers, migrant workers, employees, contact persons of clients, suppliers and website visitors with care. We take this for granted. All personal data you provide will be treated with the utmost care. This privacy statement describes how we guarantee this. Our privacy statement has been drawn up in accordance with the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applies to all our services.

In this privacy statement we explain to you which personal information we collect and record from you, at what time and for what purposes. We also provide insight into who we provide your data to and who we have it processed. In addition, there is a clear description of your rights and obligations. Please read this privacy statement carefully.

This is us

DG Select B.V. specializes in the employment of Dutch and (Eastern) European workers in the following sectors: technology, transport, production, packaging and logistics. Every day we do what we are good at and what our heart is about, namely sending people out, mediating for a new job, recruiting and selecting and providing the best service. We always have a goal in mind … “making the perfect match between employee and client”.

This is what we do

We collect and process personal data that’s necessary for the provision of our services. You may provide it voluntarily, however for some data we have a legal obligation to collect and process it. We use this information to improve our services, to ensure that our services best meet your wishes and expectations and to be able to meet the expectations or obligations we have towards our clients, suppliers or other third parties.

The information we collect from you

The moment you come to us, we almost immediately collect data from you. This can be because you visit our website, register, contact our office or make a personal visit to our office. It’s also possible that we find you on, for example, social media or job sites where you have placed your data and we assume, for a justified reason, that you might be interested in our services.

Visit website

When you visit our website we’ll immediately process data from you. We process your IP address, location and register your visit to the website and the route you follow. We do this to optimize and improve our website. We don’t process personal information.

Registration

You can register with us in various ways. This can be done by our website, by e-mail, but also by telephone or at our office. The direct website on which you can register is: www.dgselect.nl. In addition to our own website, we also post vacancies on job sites and social media. If you respond to one of our vacancies, we will also process your data.

When registering, we process the following data:

  • name and address details;
  • contact details, such as email address and telephone number;
  • birth data, age and gender;
  • work experience and curriculum vitae (CV);
  • photos and/or videos;
  • training, internships and courses;
  • references, evaluation forms and results of tests or assessments;
  • information about your availability;
  • information about your mobility, such as access to your own transport and which driving licenses you have;
  • other data, which are of added value, to assess which position or company suits you best.

Working for or by DG Select

The moment you start working for us or work for us we’ll process the following data:

  • additional personal data such as nationality, citizen service number, ID and possibly a work permit;
  • data for the implementation of correct salary administration;
  • payment details;
  • other matters such as leave and absence records;
  • other information that’s important for personnel administration or HR-related matters such as emergency numbers, marital status;
  • if it’s necessary for the position and/or company where you are going to work, special personal data can also be processed, such as a statement of good conduct or medical examination. If this is the case, we will inform you about it.

Customers, clients or other business relations

If you are our contact person for customers, clients or other business relations, we will process the following data from you:

  • name;
  • contact details, such as e-mail and / or telephone number;
  • business data such as an extract from the Chamber of Commerce, VAT number, payment data and other information that are important when executing the agreement.

Your data is processed to

  • inform you about our services or HR-related matters that may be of interest to you. This may consist of newsletters, mailings with vacancies or information regarding employment. We explicitly need your permission for this;
  • to invite you to meetings, events and drinks;
  • assist you in having contact with us, such as questions through the website or in any other alternative way;
  • be able to match you when looking for candidates for an open vacancy (matching), which best matches your expectations, requirements and capacities;
  • assess whether you would be a suitable candidate for an open vacancy within our organization or with one of our clients;
  • optimize and improve our services;
  • be able to proactively introduce you to one of our clients or companies where you may be of added value and/or would be suitable in terms of capacities and availability;
  • to mediate you for temporary or permanent work;
  • to be able to realize a good output of the salary administration, such as processing your payslips, making your salary payment, but also making payments to the tax authorities, pension fund and others;
  • fulfill our obligations when performing an agreement as an employment contract with you;
  • maintain contact with you about your availability, scheduling and offering work or other matters related to work;
  • the use of lease cars, reimbursement of fuel costs, reimbursement of travel costs, processing of traffic fines;
  • be able to carry out and process assessments and performance appraisals, thereby looking at development and training opportunities;
  • to be able to provide relevant insurance;
  • be able to conduct surveys on the satisfaction and/or services of our organization;
  • to be able to guide you well in case of absence;
  • provide our organization with management information with the aim of optimizing our business operations and services.

From abroad

If you come from abroad and start working for us, we’ll be able to offer additional services in addition to the above for which we process your data. In this case, we process data to:

  • possibly organize your trip to the Netherlands;
  • be able to provide you with good housing in the Netherlands;
  • informing you about the culture and the associated laws and regulations in the Netherlands;
  • being able to offer and take care of insurance for you, including the associated registrations and cancellations and payment of compulsory premiums;
  • be able to provide you with a means of transport for traveling from your residence address in the Netherlands to work.

Who do we provide your data to

We handle your data carefully and confidentially. In order to offer you our services, we’ll make your data transparent for our employees. We assure you that only those employees have insight into your data when this is important for their activities and at the same time also for the provision of our service to you or the fulfillment of an agreement.

When providing information about you to third parties, we’ll limit this as much as possible to the minimum and/or legally required.

When mediating for work, we’ll share your data with relevant clients and/or companies that we think you are of added value.

If you work for our organization or work for one of our clients on our behalf, we have legal obligations in the fulfillment of the agreement and the execution of the salary administration. We’ll therefore provide your data to the following organizations or governments: tax authorities, pension funds and, if applicable, confiscators.

In case of absenteeism and the supervision thereof, an occupational health service will be called in and, if applicable, an occupational health doctor. Given the legal obligation of follow-up and guidance, we will provide your data that are relevant to this follow-up and guidance. If necessary, we’ll also forward your data to the UWV, for example when you leave your employment during absence.

To meet our obligations as an organization and to monitor and guarantee our quality as an organization, we have regular audits carried out by accredited audit institutions and accountants. For the purpose of these checks, your data will also be provided, but only for the purpose of safeguarding our quality and keeping our business operations at a high level.

If you come from abroad and we offer and provide other services for you, we’ll also provide your data to third parties. This only for the services that we additionally offer you and for which you give us your explicit agreement. Think of taking care of housing, insurance and means of transport.

For personal development in the form of personal guidance, courses and/or training, we’ll provide your data to trainingagencies and companies that deal with your development and training on our behalf.

How long do we keep your data

We’ll keep your data for as long as you want to use our services. We also have legal and regulatory obligations to store data. This includes submitting burden of proof and/or any claims that may relate to the past and present.

Where we have no reason determined by law and regulation, we’ll ask for your explicit voluntary permission. You can of course also withdraw this permission if you no longer wish to use our services.

Security and trust

Your data will not be used for purposes other than as indicated in this privacy statement. We have developed security measures, both organizational and technical, to prevent the destruction, loss, falsification, alteration, unauthorized access or notification of third parties of your personal data. Under no circumstances can DG Select be held liable for the processing of personal data by a third party. If we pass on your details to a third party, we’ll ensure that they are bound by the same rules.

What rights do you have

In addition to processing the personal data, you also have some rights as a person.

Right to inspection and correction

At any time you can view your data and correct it if necessary.

Improvement, removal and limitation

You are completely free to share anything you want. In addition, you also have the right not to provide certain specific data or to request us to correct, supplement or delete data from you. If you want to have data deleted, this can have consequences for the services we can provide you. Some services may be dropped as a result. In addition, the request for deletion is only possible if we have no legal obligation to keep this data. However, we can restrict access to your data for our employees and third parties.

Right to object

You can always request us not to process data for serious and legitimate reasons. Depending on whether there is a legal ground for the processing, we’ll consider your objection and implement it when possible. If you want to oppose direct marketing, there is no reason for it and you can do it at any time.

Right of data transfer

You have the right to request the personal data that we have processed from you in a structured, common and machine-readable form and/or to transfer it to another person responsible.
